Ms. Aman is originally from Punjab (India). She has been working in childcare for 5 years with children aged 3-5 and afterschool children to age 12. Additionally she worked at pre-school as a support worker for one year. As a licensed Early Childhood Educator, her goal is to promote and support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. She also believes that play is the base of learning since children learn best by doing. Ms. Aman’s strengths are her patience and gentle, loving guidance to children. Ms. Amandeep is a wife and mother of two children. She enjoys spending time with family, nature walks, reading and traveling. She is excited to share her knowledge and experience with Cream of the Crop families!
Carissa has been working in childcare for the last 12 years with children aged 2-12. She has worked at preschool for 7 years as well as teaching the after school care program. She has been teaching at daycare for the last 5 years as well as managed two centers during that time. She has her Early Childhood Educators Assistant’s license. Carissa’s passion and love for children shows in her work. She enjoys the challenge that each child brings, but she always keep the child’s abilities and interest in mind. She is also a mother and wife and loves spending time with her family, camping, hiking, swimming, traveling ,riding on the motorcycle and walking her dog. She is so excited to join the team at Cream of the Crop by bringing her years of experience, eagerness to continue learning and growing with the children in this program. She is so excited to get to know all our families.
Ms. Ella has worked and studied in the education field for 25years. With a B.A and M.A. in Early Childhood Education, she has taught in kindergarten classrooms, daycares and elementary schools working with children aged 0-12years. Ms. Ella has even worked as a textbook writer! She was raised in a blessed family and she admires her own parents who are her best friends and supporters. She is a wife and mother of two children and loves spending time with her family. Ms. Ella is a passionate learner and believes she can learn from her colleagues, work places, children and families. She enjoys helping children and their families and always keeps in mind the words given to her from the principal at her first job: “Bloom where you are planted”.
Maddy is currently studying Child and Youth Care at the University of the Fraser Valley and has her Early Childhood Education Assistant’s license. She has had a growing passion and love for children for three years and has worked with children for two years. She worked at the Chilliwack YMCA for a year with children aged 3-5. She also volunteered in elementary schools for two years. Her long-term goal is to be a Child and Youth Care Practitioner in elementary schools. She believes that children learn best through play and her main goal at the centre is to see the children smile. She enjoys working with all ages and is excited for what her time at the centre will teach her. She is excited to bring her young perspective to the centre to better connect with the children and to build stronger relationships.
Paula has been working in the Early Childhood Education field for the past 16 years. Within that time she has worked in preschools, daycares, after school care programs and supported children with developmental special needs. She is a caring, supportive, and patient person who enjoys engaging and encouraging children to be successful and achieve their goals. In her spare time, Paula likes to have fun outdoors skiing, camping, hiking and canoeing with her husband and two sons. She’s excited to be a part of the Cream of the Crop Childcare Centre.
Jennifer is co-owner and Director of Cream of the Crop Childcare with over 12 years working with children and 10 years as a leader in Management. With a diploma in Performing Arts and a Bachelor Degree in music, has also taught music and movement to children aged 3-5yrs in pre-schools as well as private music lessons. Implementing a strong music programme was a key goal for Jennifer. She holds her Early Childhood Educators Assistant’s license and excelled in Guiding and Caring Behaviour. She loves reading, writing, painting and has sung professionally across the world. A mother to two young children herself, Jennifer is proud to offer care and education that prepare children for a life long love of learning while providing parents peace of mind that their child is safe and having fun. She recently relocated to Summerland with her family and communicates with her team and parents remotely on a day to day basis but is present in the centre throughout the month.
Sylvie is originally from Quebec and is co-owner of Cream of the Crop Childcare with over 40 years experience working with children. She is a mature, nurturing teacher who is passionate about quality childcare and education. She has worked mainly with children 3-5yrs and school-aged as well as children with developmental special needs. She is known for her creative, engaging circle times, for being a calming influence around the children and being extremely patient. Ms. Sylvie is responsible for the curriculum and programming at Cream of the Crop. She is a mother herself and grandmother to three grand-kids and a grand-dog. Sylvie is bilingual, loves anything outdoors including skiing and camping, and also loves animals and reading. Recently having relocated to Penticton, Ms. Sylvie travels to the centre throughout the month to support her team and check in on the educational programming. She is excited to bring top-notch education to the children of Cream of the Crop Childcare.
